Halloween is right around the corner, and this weekend leans into it with trick-or-treating downtown, a Halloween night at the pioneer village, a spooky afternoon tea, and the last weekend of Pumpkinfest. Here's what's on around Peterborough and Lakefield, plus a couple of picks a short drive out of town.

Halloween in the Booro is returning, and it turns the downtown core into a bustling, family-friendly trick-or-treating hub. An anniversary celebration with photos, stories, and in-person festivities as Kawartha Nordic marks 50 years. A fun one if you've been part of the community, or want to see what it's all about.

Witch's Brew Afternoon Tea

Sunday, October 25 | 1:00 to 3:00 pm | Rolling Grape Vineyard, 260 County Road 2, Bailieboro | $70

A Halloween-themed afternoon tea at the vineyard. It works as a treat for you and a friend, or a quiet solo indulgence to end the weekend.

That's the roundup! If you make it out to any of these, tell me about it, and send this along to a friend who's looking for plans.
